DSWD sa mga kabanay nga dunay centenarian ug 99 anyos pataas nga ipalista sa kagamhanang lokal diin sila nahisakop

Ang Department of Social Welfare and Development, Field Office No. 7 (DSWD-FO7) nanawagan sa mga kabanayan nga dunay gi-atiman mga centenarian o tiguwang sa ilang panimalay nga nag-edad ug 99 anyos ug pataas, atol sa gipahigayon nga Kapihan Sa PIA sa Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc (RAFI) ning dakbayan.

Si Artemia Degamo, Social Welfare Officer IV sa DSWD-FO7 nagpahibalo ug nanawagan niadtong nag-atiman o may mga kaliwat nga nagpangedaron ug 99 anyos nga moadto sa kinaduolan nga opisina sa DSWD nga anaa sa ilang munisipyo o dakbayan.

Kini aron sila masakop sa selebrasyon sa ika100 nilang tuig nga nataohan ug maapil sila sa listahanan sa tagaanan ug P100,000 sunod tuig.

SWO IV Artemia Degamo 

Dugang ni Degamo, nga magdala lamang ug pagmatuod sa pangedaron sa tigulang sama sa birth certificate, marriage certificate, tala o rekord sa pag-eskuyla o pagpanarbaho o kaha birth certificate sa anak.

Samtang kadtong nag-edad ug usa gatos ug pataas, segun sa Akta Republika Numero 10868 o Centenarian Act of 2016 nga gilagdaan ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte niadtong Hunyo 2016 ang DSWD mohatag ug pasidungog nga kwarta nga balor ug P100,000 cash gift nga tax-free ug plake sa pagpahalipay gikan sa Presidente, dugang ni Degamo.

Matod usab sa opisyal nga ang mga local government units (LGUs) adunay mandato nga mohatag usab sa centenarian o tigulang apan depende sa pundo nga mahimo pang gamiton sa mao nga katuyuan.

Ang Cebu City Government mohatag ug P100,000 ug ang centenarian usa ka pensionado sa Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), makadawat kini ug P100,000.

Gipahibalo usab ni Degamo nga kadtong mga uyamot ug timawa nga mga tigulang nga nag-edad ug 60 anyos, walay ginadawat nga pension o suportang regular gikan sa anak, hatagan sa DSWD ug Social Pension Program nga P500 matag tulo ka bulan o quarterly.

Adunay natala nga 236 nga mga centenarians sa rehiyon ug ang probinsiya sa Cebu ang may kinadahanan nga 145 ka buok.

PWD's better shot at life at AVRC -iCebu

Within the month of July is the National Disability and Prevention Week (NDPR)

Here is our iCebu on some packets of good news gathered by Philippine Information Agency 7 team from individuals benefiting from a government facility addressing their needs 

In today’s world where bad news seems to be filling the papers, digital newsfeeds, radio and television, knowing a couple of victories won by people we thought are incapable, is like a breath of fresh air.

Meet Jemelyn, Divina and Sarah who are among the graduates of the Area Vocational Rehabilitation Center, a government facility designed to empower and reintegrate persons with various forms of disabilities.

*Divina Arna and Sarah Mae Araneta are both blind while Jemelyn Beldad is a polio victim. At AVRC there are deafs, mutes, both and those with other physical impairments.

Divina was a typhoon Yolanda survivor from Borongan, Samar. She narrated seeing her relatives and neighbors suffer prompting her to volunteer in the relief distribution. Little did she know, that she is to experience real suffering, as she began to lose her eyesight,  a year before finishing her Accountancy course. Divina was diagnosed with glaucoma and it was irreversible.

Then she withdrew from the crowd and locked her self in her room most of the time

*Sarah Mae Araneta, from Ubay, Bohol was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa when she was in high school.  It is not a surprise since seven of her 12 siblings unluckily picked a dominant gene from her father, a case of retinal degeneration that could slowly lead to total blindness.

She dropped out from school and just like Divina, just wanted to be alone

*Jemelyn Beldad, of Argao town, is the jolliest among the three.  She had clear skin and well manicured nails and a well maintained curly hair. Because she lives in the farthermost barangay in Argao, it was difficult for her to be brought to the hospital when she had fever for a week. That caused her polio when she was 3 years old. Her polio made her unable to stand and so she said, she gets used to being married to the wheel chair. She never went to school


Fortunately after several days of sulking, the three of them had their respective turning points  and even if they are from distant localities, their roads were led to AVRC.

People running the AVRC said there  the facility runs a variety of skills trainings for PWD’s , allowing then to regain confidence and get a good bat at life and make a livelihood to be independent.

Divina and Sarah May took the three months massage training while Jemelyn had cosmetology.  Jemelyn was happy, it was only at AVRC that she learned how to write.

Now the three of them are earning more than enough for themselves, that they are able to send money to their respective homes.

Divina is very inspired to be able to support her younger sister become a teacher while Sarah May sends to school her three other siblings.

With strong determination and the timely intervention availed from this government facility, the three of them would agree, life lead them to take a better shot.

At AVRC, one does not feel deaf, mute, weak, blind… but courage, hope, passion and inspiration.

CEBUANO: Bag ong hiniusang pwersa batok sa problema sa CAR og CICL mipirma og kasabutan; Mga ginikanan apil sa pagdisiplina

Matod ni Police Inspector Arieza Otida, ang hepe sa Family Gender Juvenile Section (FGJS) sa Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), nga aduna na unyay binuwan nga pagpang ronda sa nagkalain laing dapit batok sa mga libud suroy.

Kini bisan pa man wala pa muluwat ang panggamhanan, nga buhion sa makausa pa ang balaod kabahin sa curfew.

Kining maong “Covenant” nga alang sa ginganlan og “Operation Gugma”  pinirmahan sa mga civic organizations og mga ahensya sa gobyerno naglatid sa mga nagkalaing laing serbisyo nga ehatag alang sa 

katuyuan nga masulbad ang maong mga issues sa kabatan-onan.

Nasabutan usab sa maong Covenant nga aduna nay “shelter” o  kasamtangang kapunduhan sa mga ma rescue unya sa pagpang ronda.  Kini mao ang nakabalda sa mga operasyon sa kapolisan tungod kay wala silay kapondohan sa mga minors nga ma rescue.

Gibahin ug tulo ka matang sa serbisyo ang anaa sa maong Covenant.

Naglakip didto ang kabahin sa Prevention  (Paglikay), Intervention and Diversion ug ang Reintegration (Pagbalik sa komunidad).

Ang aspeto sa “shelter” o kapuy-an, kapundohan, anaa mahimutang tunga tunga sa Intervention o Diversion. 

Dinhi ebutang sila sa theraphy, education sessions, aron sila maayo sa panghuna huna og makabaton og saktong panglantaw sa kinabuhi.

Ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa rehiyon og sa dakbayan muabaga sa pagkaon og ubang mga panginahanglan.

Ang ubang mga  civic groups sama sa Rotaracts, Zonta Cliub , Lions International, Dilaab Movement, DoN Bosco Boys Home, Juvenile Justice Welfare Council, Legal Alternatives for Women magmugna unya og mga action para maayo sila og ang ilang pamilya.

Ang CCPO mu detail og tulo ka mga police matag adlaw sa duha ka mga shelters ug ang Cebu Prosecutors Office maoy muabag sa legal nga concerns sa mga bata.
