CAOCAMPIO News Bits: 313 mitahan sa 8 ka LGU's sa Sugbo

Kapin sa 300 ka mag personahe nga nalambigit sa ginadiling droga ang mitahan sa balaod sa walo ka mag local government units sa lalawigan sa Sugbo.

Kini nahitabo sa unang duha ka adlaw rong semana sumala sa mga taho sa mga information officers sa dakbayan sa Mandaue, Carcar, Naga og Danao, ingon man sa mga lalawigan sa Asturias, Tabogon, San Remigio ug Santa Fe sa isla sa Bantayan.

  

         Matod sa Cebu Association of City and Municipal Public Information Officers (CAOCAMPIO) News Bits, mikabat na ug 313 ang natala nga mitahan gikan sa Lunes ngadto sa Martes niining semanaha.

Ang pinakadaghang mitahan mao ang dakbayan sa Mandaue nga mikabat og 160 ka mga indiviiduals, matod sa bag ong natudlo nga information officer Jeany Eve Ynot.

Misunod ang dakbayan sa Carcar, nga matod sa IO nga si Candice Acuna, 50 ang mitahan sa kapolisan niadtong Lunes.

Sa lungsod ni Mayor Zigfred Duterte sa Tabogon, gitaho ni IO Mercedette Toling nga adunay 35 ka mga individuals ang mitahan.

Si Cris Esgana, IO sa lungsod sa Santa Fe Bantayan mitaho nga adunay 30 kabuok ang mitthan fikan sa mga barangay Pooc, Poblacion og Talisay.

Sa lungsod sa San Remigio adunay 15 kabuok ang mitahan lakip na niana ang upat ka mga menor de edad, matod ni IO Nino Ybanez.

Sa dakbayan sa Naga, 11 kabuok ang miatobang sa bag ong Mayor nga si Kristine Chiong ug pito ang natala sa Danao City.

Sa lungsod sa Asturia lima ang mi surrender ug isa niana ang menor de edad.

Ang maong kalambuan avig duso sa pagpahigayon sa “Operation Tukhang” (Tuktuk Hangyo) diin bisitahon sa kapolisan ang mag gidudahan nga tigamitan o tigpayuhot og hangyuon sa pag usab.

CAOCAMPIO News bits - 230 drug personalities surrenders ; July 6 holiday

As of press time today, 225 drug personalities surrendered into the folds of the law from the reports gathered by the members of the Cebu Association of City and Municipal Public Information Officer (CAOCAMPIO).

Majority of those who surrendered were from the highly urbanized city of Mandaue.  According to its information officer Jeany Eve Necessario, as of 12 noon there were 160 who surrendered in the various police stations of the city.

In the southwestern town of Asturias, information officer Christian Maningo said there were 10 known pushers and users, including a minor, surrendered to the police.

Also in Naga City, 10 surrendered to new Mayor Kristine Chiong while another one surrendered to the city police, according to information officer Jessica Natad.

In the southern City of Carcar, information officer Candice Acuna reported 50 drug personalities who also returned to the folds of the law.

The campaign is in line with the campaign of the Philippine National Police "Operation Tukhang" or “Toktok, Hangyo” (knock and ask)

Carcar City also conducted its fifth Education Summit today, attended by teachers and parent representatives from the different private and public schools in the city.  This was the report of information officer Candice Acuna.  Photo below.

In the town northern town of San Remigio, Nino Ybanez reported the holding of the Municipal "Talakayan" of the "Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan - Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services" (KALAHI-CIDSS).

"Talakayan talks about LGU Governance.... nag evaluate sila thru forum from the Barangay Captains sa mga projects implemented, programs and etc.," according to Ybanez.

KALAHI-CIDSS is a program of the Department of Social and Development (DSWD) which means linking hands to fight poverty.  It is a community-driven development project that aims to empower communities through their enhanced participation in community projects that reduce poverty.

Dr. Shelbay Blanco misaysay kabahin sa AIDS sa Sugbo 

Pagamit og injection sa ginadiling droga mao gihapon ang nag unang rason sa pagkuyanap sa Acquired ImmunoDeficiencey Syndrome (AIDS) dinhi sa Sugbo.

 Nasayran sa uwahing Kapihan sa PIA –Cebu nga sukad sa 1984 adunanay mga natala nga 2811 ka mga kaso sa maong sakit dinhi sa lalawigan.

Sa maong mga kaso, si Dr. Shelbay Blanco, medical officer IV sa Department of Health (DOH) nagkanayon nga nag una niini ang pagkuyanap tungod sa injection o intravenous drug use.  Sunod niini ang pakighilawas sa isig ka lalake o “Male to Male Sex” nga adunay 616 ka mga kaso; heterosexual sex o pakighilawas sa usa ka lalaki og babaye, 389; bisexual sex o pakighilawas sa lalaki ug babaye, 382 ka mga kaso; u gang perinatal o pagtakod sa inahan ngadto sa anak diin adunay upat ka mga kaso.

Adunay 16 ka mga kaso nga natakdan saw a pa natino nga rason.

Matod ni Blanco, ang pag practice sa luwas nga pakighilawas maoy makapapugong sa pagtakod sa Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).

Nasayran nga nag una ang lalawigan sa Sugbo sa labing daghan nga mga kaso og nag anam anam kini og saka.

Gipahibalo ni Blanco nga libre ang pagpa HIV test sa Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (DVSMMC) og sa buhatan sa DOH.

Cebu's P500k investment leads to P12M drug haul in one week

Cebu provincial government's half a million investment on weeklong operations resulted to a drug haul of P12 million.

The “Oplan Limpyo Probinsya” of the Cebu City Police Office (CPPO) supported by the Cebu Provincial Anti Drug Abuse Council (CPADAC) presented recently the results of  "Oplan Limpyo Probinsya" which was implemented for a week from January 12 to 18 this year.

Cebu Governor Hilario Davide III said the province, through CPADAC, allotted P500,000 in the conduct of “Limpyo Probinsya”.

CPADAC is giving financial support to the police to intensify the drug campaign and the recent operations netted the biggest haul so far.

In said period, CPPO and its operatives were able to conduct 59 operations, majority of which were enforced through a search warrant.

In terms of confiscated shabu, they were able to haul 1.059 grams which has a street value of P12,500,220.

The biggest haul from among the local government police stations was conducted by Carcar City with over 90 grams of shabu worth P1.071 million.

The City of Danao ollowed with 66.9 grams of shabu and a value of P855,000.

Top three are Consolacion town with a haul of P716,260 from 59 grams shabu, followed by 

Balamban town with P239,540  from 10.20 grams, and Argao town with P232,460 worth from 19.70 grams shabu.

Provincial Intelligence  Branch CPPO teams hauled the biggest with a total of P4.7 million drug haul.

There were also 17 different firearms confiscated from 128 suspects arrested.

Among the suspects were a public school teacher from  San Francisco Camotes Island and a dismised policeman from Minglanilla town.

On the other hand, ten police stations are under watch for being unable to comply with the required operations.

“Oplan Limpyo Probinsya” is conducted every three months.

It was enforced following reports that Central Visayas ranked fourth in the drug trade in the country last year. (rmn/fcc/PIA7-Cebu)
